CRL believes family communication is critical to the wellness of our residents and their family members. Our Family Ties program provides consistent communication detailing the many positive and exciting life enrichment programs occurring in our communities.

A cornerstone of CRL’s Life Enrichment Pillars is to keep residents connected to the rest of the community and to their family. We want family members to feel connected not only to how their loved one is doing, but what our community is doing to enrich their lives, and encourage them, the family member, to participate.

To ensure regular communication, we make sure it’s convenient for our families to reach us. So whether loved ones prefer to pick up the phone, talk face to face, email or use the latest social media tools, we’re ready to share and listen.

CRL’s innovative Family Ties
program includes:

• Access to Senior Management: Bi-annual family open house with senior CRL management in attendance

• Innovator’s News Flash: Monthly e-mails sent to family members including exciting events, calendars and menus

• Skype Terminals: Video conferencing via Skype in our communities to talk and see across the miles with loved ones

• Twitter: Each of our communities post regular updates, or “tweets,” on Twitter so loved ones can use the popular social media site to stay current on day-to-day news

• CRL Blog: Regular posts on our blog give loved ones an opportunity to catch up on all things CRL and to interact by posting comments of their own

• Flickr and YouTube: Photos and videos of all the great things happening are easily accessible on our Flickr and YouTube accounts

• Monthly Visuals: Password protected section of the CRL website to view photos and videos

• Monthly Activity Calendar: Includes activities that challenge the mind, body and spirit

• Quarterly Updates: Quarterly community updates via conference call
