Home Care vs. Assisted Living Costs
For some, the decision to continue caring for a loved one at home comes down to a matter of finances. But the truth is, peace of mind and knowing your loved one is being cared for in a secure and safe environment is more cost-effective than you might think!
Compare the difference in cost:
Cost of Home Care*
- 12 hours a day: $5,800 per month (approx.)
- 24 hours a day: $11,000 per month (approx.)
Cost of Assisted Living at CRL
- 24 hours a day: $3,000 to $4,000 per month (approx.)
- The cost of assisted living is often less per month than home care. In addition, our residents also receive extra services and programs that would be an added expense to provide in your home.
Assisted Living Features Include:
- Safety precautions
- Secure community that’s monitored 24/7
- Socialization
- Nutrition and hydration programming
- Fitness and exercise and more!
* For the purposes of this document, we used $16 per hour to determine the monthly costs. The cost for home health care runs between $15 and $25 an hour.
