CRL celebrates National Assisted Living Week -September 12-18, 2010“Living Life”
“Life is a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint on it you can.”-Danny Kay

National Assisted Living was established by the National Center for Assisted Living in 1995.  National Assisted Living Week provides a unique opportunity for residents, families, staff, volunteers, and the surrounding community to come together to bestow on our residents a multitude of events and activities that show them how much we care about and love them.

The theme for 2010 is “Living Life.”  Living life means participating in activities you enjoy, sharing life stories, never stopping the process of discovery and a lifelong pursuit of happiness and growth. In honor of the celebration of life each CRL community will be highlighting a specific Life Enrichment stimulation pillar that week.  I invite you to join us on Sunday for Hooked on a Feeling, Monday, Get Up and Go, Tuesday, Let’s Get Together, Wednesday, Healthy and Whole, Thursday, Reflections, Friday, Brain Games and last but not least Saturday where the day is open to endless possibilities.

For more information on CRL community events please contact the community Life Enrichment Coordinator.

Bella Vista Independent and Assisted Living, Oshkosh, WI celebrates National Assisted Living Week!

It is hard to believe that summer is coming to a close so quickly. Parents and children are already shopping for clothes and school supplies. At Bella Vista, we have an exciting late Summer/early Fall festivities to include National Assisted Living Week (example activities), etc, etc. We hope that you can join us!

We appreciate the many compliments that we have been receiving about our care and services. Family members and residents ask me for the best way to thank staff. My immediate response is to either write a thank-you note/card describing the situation or e-mailing me at tgreeneway@crlcares.com. Once received, I will be sure to share with staff. I can tell you that staff absolutely “loves” thank you’s and recognition from customers directly. I also follow-up and share my appreciation with them. In addition, Bella Vista will have recognition gifts and tokens of appreciation to share. So if you see care/service that is exceptional, please put it in writing as well as verbal. This would be greatly appreciated in assisting us in recognizing and motivating our team!
